Looking to Advertise

Ok...so I know that I have been doing this Facebook thing but I know that I need to find other advertising outlets to promote myself.

I have been put in place with someone at LA Parent Magazine but where do I go from here?

I dont know what other ways I can advertise.

This is something that I need to focus on...

Domain Name

So now I have transferred my domain name to another location for hosting.

I am not one step closer to have my OFFICIAL website up and running. :-D

Advertising in LA Parent Magazine

A couple of weeks ago, I was told that I should see about advertising in the LA Parent Magazine. I thought that was a WONDERFUL idea but I guess I didnt put too much thought into it.

LA Parent Magazine is read by schools, teachers, parents, etc. This is something that will open up a new door for me.

I sent an email over to inquire about advertising. A few days later, I received an email saying that my information would be forwarded to the correct account representative.

Well, I FINALLY got an email from the account representative and this is what it said.

My name is Tania & I am the Classified Account Representative here at LA Parent. I received an email with your interest in advertising with us. I would like to speak to you regarding your needs for advertising so I can give you the best rate & design the best ad for you. When you have a moment, please feel free to contact me so we can discuss what we can do for you.


I look forward to speaking with you.

I will be calling on Monday morning...can't wait to see where this goes!

30 Minute Morning Pow Wow

So I dropped off the decorative apples (in previous post) on my way to work this morning and happened to talk business with my friend (after she showed me her FABULOUS table).

She gave me so many words of advice and encouragement...

I cant wait until we have a REAL sit down where time is not an issue. She is full of so much information and has been in the business and can help me out. Please know that I WILL be having my pen and paper READY when we do get together.

Decorative Apples

I have a friend and fellow business owner who is competing in the Utterly Engaged event this evening and while we were up having a late conversation via FB, she asked if I could make some apples for her. I said SURE! She sent over some inspiration and I was SUPER excited to go to Michaels to see what I could find.

This would be the first time I had ever done any type of decorative apples but I was up for the challenge.

I must say it went smoother than I thought. I did hit a couple of speed bumps, but all in all, they were a success!

Princess and The Frog Apples

The big hype for the past year or two has been The Princess and the Frog. I got an email from a client who saw a picture of previous apples that I did and she wanted to get the same thing done for her daughter.

I was sooooooooooooooo happy when she told me that her daughters eyes lit up when she saw her apples...

So there was a football themed birthday party and I had NO CLUE what kind of apples I was going to do...

Website Update

So, we all know that Facebook is WONDERFUL!!!

As I was working on my website, I got a message from a friend from Jr. High saying that if I needed help, then he would help me out. Well, I was telling him about the site I was doing and letting him know that I LOVE the fact that I was doing a FLASH site.

THEN he dropped the bomb on me...
Apple does NOT support Flash on their mobile devices!!! It would be different if half of the world didnt have an iPhone...so I feel like I am BACK to square one.

My friend was nice enough to offer to help me out with the site since he is a coder...THANK GOODNESS!!!

Can't wait to see how it all turns out...

Kreative Kandi Apple Photo Shoot

I had the pleasure of working with a very dear friend of mine, Drenaka Williams Photography for my first Kreative Kandi Apple photo shoot.

I thought that it would be more so taking pictures of the actual apples but I ended up being in half of the shoot.

Not sure exactly what I will do with all of the pictures but I cant wait to bild my website so I can showcase my Kandi Apples but her photography as well.
